LaunchPad – A Free Lunch & Learn on June 15

Cascade Community Foundation’s free LaunchPad luncheon is coming up on June 15, and residents curious about the impact can still register to attend. And, it’s more than just a small fundraiser benefiting a small community organization says board member Curt Monhart.

“Over the past two years, CCF has been inquiring of Cascade residents asking for feedback about important needs and topics that require awareness and investment,” said Monhart, owner of E3 Prime Environments. “At LaunchPad, we will share those results and unveil an urgent need facing our community, which will become our sole focus this Fall.”

LaunchPad will begin at 11:45 a.m. at Watermark Country Club and will offer a complimentary lunch along with a short program for attendees to learn more about the role of Cascade Community Foundation and its 22 year impact in the area.

Attendees will also discover the extraordinary impact of the Foundation’s Q&A Livestream– an online series featured on the organization’s YouTube channel that shares personal, local, testimony from residents about a variety of topics like mental illness, finance, diversity and more.

“The Q&A Livestream is a first-of-its-kind glimpse into urgent, often-avoided, subject matter selected by the community itself,” shared CCF’s Director, Justin Swan. “Through the generosity of area businesses, we’ve been blessed to fully fund amazing content, and amplify truly important topics over the past two years.”

Along with the Q&A Livestream, CCF also commissions an Annual Survey throughout the year to help determine content for the series. This Fall, the Foundation will award a grant to a local nonprofit who will deliver programming to help solve the selected issue.

“This is impact full circle,” explained Swan. “This amazing community has helped us identify urgent topics, we then amplify those through the Q&A, and finish it off by investing in solutions…. I’m not sure there’s a better purpose for philanthropy than that.”
