Wind Turbine

The Cascade Community Foundation partnered with Cascade Township and Lacks Engineering to  create a solar wind turbine at the Cascade Branch of the Kent District Library.  The turbine generates over 2,000 kWh of energy and year and demonstrates the positive impact of wind and solar energy on our planet.  There is a kiosk inside the library so that those interested can study this unique form of alternative energy and compare it to normal power usage.  The information is also available on the web so that children at any school can study alternative energy and how we might become better citizens by its use.
